Trakya Pack Among the Top 10 Finalists in the Innovation Gallery at Packaging Innovations & Empack 2026

The recognition positions the company among the most innovative new solutions in the packaging industry and serves as a strong acknowledgment of its achievements in the early stage of its development.

The selected product – UniGlass Bottle Protection – is an innovative molded pulp packaging solution designed to protect glass bottles. The solution has been recognised for its universal design, proven protection during transport, and clear sustainability profile. The product will be showcased as part of the official Innovation Gallery selection, where visitors will be able to see and evaluate it on site.

Early success with a clear message

For Trakya Pack, being among the top 10 finalists is particularly significant, as the company began production less than a year ago. This international recognition follows shortly after receiving the Bulgarian PrizPak award at the end of 2025 – further confirmation of the company’s consistent focus on practical innovation, efficiency, and sustainable packaging solutions.

The combination of national and international recognition demonstrates that well-considered, functional solutions developed in Bulgaria can successfully find their place on the global stage.

In addition to its participation in the Innovation Gallery, Trakya Pack will also be exhibiting at Packaging Innovations & Empack 2026. The company will present its molded pulp solutions to an international audience of manufacturers, global brands, and logistics companies.

On 12 February (Thursday), from 10:30 to 10:50, Aleksandrina Topalova, Business Development Manager at Trakya Pack, will speak at the Discovery Theatre. The second day of the programme is dedicated to sustainable materials, circular design, and smart packaging solutions.

The presentation topic is:
“The business application of molded pulp: efficiency, protection, and sustainability”

During the session, the practical business benefits of switching to molded pulp packaging will be explored – improved product protection, reduced transport damage, more efficient use of warehouse space, and a lower carbon footprint through the replacement of plastics.

“We are excited to take the stage at the Discovery Theatre to show how molded pulp makes packaging smarter, safer, and more sustainable. It’s an opportunity to present practical solutions that protect products, optimise costs, and support sustainable development,” says Aleksandrina Topalova.

A clear signal for the future of packaging

Trakya Pack’s participation in Packaging Innovations & Empack 2026 and its place among the top 10 finalists in the Innovation Gallery send a clear signal that sustainable, efficient, and well-designed packaging solutions are becoming the new industry standard. For Trakya Pack, this marks an important step towards establishing itself as a reliable partner in the transition to a more responsible and circular packaging economy.
